Our Adventure Journey to the Haunted Bungalow

The 6 of us continued climbing the steep hill. Everyone was pretty tired. It was 12:30 p.m. when I looked at the watch. We started climbing the hill for 1 hour. I drank some water from the bottle I had on hand. We set aside all the plants in front and walked. There was a local guy with us. He guided and walked in front of us. We followed him. One of us asked, "How far is it?" He smiled and replied "A little more." I felt something wetness in my leg. I looked at the leg and there was blood coming from the feet. Suddenly, I removed my sandals and checked. One leech had been bitten. That local guy took it off my feet. We continued walking. After a short distance, a snake crept in front. Then, we started walking very carefully. Later we came across a stream coming from uphill. From there we washed our faces and drank some water.

After some time, we reached a flat place. There were two ways. One to the left and one to the right. It was a desolate place. I looked around. It was a jungle. Suddenly, It started to rain slightly. The local guy told us to come somebody with him to get water. He said, "We have to go right side. There is no water. So, we have to get water from a stream nearby." One went to fetch water with him. Before they went he told us "This is the place where the elephants go. So, be careful." Four of us stayed there. We had little fear. It was still raining slightly. I picked up my mobile and there is no network. It was then that one of the men showed it. When we looked, it was elephant dung. About fifteen minutes later, they returned with water. We walked along the path on the right. When we turned that way, I remembered the Hollywood movie Wrong Turn. I saw some elephants dung lying on the path. Then, I could understand that this is the place where elephant descends. We walked very carefully. The rain was gone by then.

Finally, after about 2 hours of walking, we reached our destination. It was an old bungalow. We got onto the porch. Some parts of the bungalow had been demolished but it was a good size. I looked around. There was a huge watching tower on the left side of it. The bungalow was surrounded by the scrub at one's height. Its porch was very lengthy. I came down to the front of it. From the outside, it looked like a ghost house. I was intrigued to learn more about this bungalow.
I asked the local guy about it. He said that it was built by the British in the past and is now being looked at by no one. Now I want to know if there is a ghost in here. He replied that he had never felt that way, but some people had said something here. He said one thing also that it was said that a man has committed suicide here. Rarely do people come here. I felt a little nervous. Then, I looked inside the bungalow. It was a terrifying darkness inside.

We both turned on the flashlight of the mobile phone and headed inside. By then, others had joined us. From the porch, we entered the hall. It was a spacious, large hall. There were 4 large rooms and 2 small rooms inside the bungalow. The kitchen and veranda were a pretty good size. In some parts of the bungalow, there were aluminum sheets on the roof. I asked him about it. He said that somebody leased it a few years ago, and they did it. It was then that we saw a large pit in a room. He said that somebody had to dig it up to get some treasure. The walls of the bungalow are made of both granite and brick. The pillars were of wood. After seeing everything inside we came to the porch. We sat there and talked to each other. There was a fireplace in one corner of the porch. Later we made food from there. We came here with food-making supplies. It was late evening when the meal was over. We went out and watched the sights. Then, I got a piece of an old ceramic roof tile from that bungalow. I looked at the year and saw that it was 1941.

It was then that the sun started to set. The local guy said, "We have to get out of here before 7 p.m. or we are in danger." We asked the reason. He said that if it gets dark there will be elephants and pigs on the way and he would not go down after 7 o'clock, and we would stay here. We couldn't even think of staying there. We packed everything up and got ready to go. Then, we left the place at around 7 p.m. The local guy had only the torchlight in his hand. He walked in front of us. We turned on the mobile flashlights and walked behind him. He was very careful to see if there were any obstacles along the way. It was difficult to get down because it was raining slightly.
The darkness began to spread so that nothing could be seen. It was a frightening atmosphere all along the way. We were very worried if there was an elephant or something on the way. Everyone went down the hill with fear. After 8 p.m. we arrived at the bottom without any trouble. We put everything in our car. The leech had bitten everyone's leg. We took it off all and bathed in a stream. The water was very cool. We swam and bathed for a while. Later, we changed our clothes and said goodbye to him.
